Hi, I replied on the facebook page but thought I’d also drop a line here.

In regards to Faces of SPD, my son who is 8 yrs old has a diagnosis of SPD & he has at least three more boys with SPD who live nearby. We live in Cincinnati, OH.

There is also a support group for parents of SPD kids that meets once per month in Blue Ash (just north of Cincinnati) at COTI (Cincinnati Occupational Therapy Institute).

In addition to COTI, many SPD kids attend OT at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

In addition to COTI, many kids in our area go to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center for Occupational Therapy for help with their SP

As a paraeducator and then a special ed. teacher, I often wondered if kids had SPD, and I always wanted to learn more. I’m so glad to have found this site so that I can become better acquainted with the disorder.

I sure wish a way I could connect with some people here in western MN. I can’t find any thing like this- I can find autism which my son has a few actions like autism but has never been tested and I don’t think he is. This is wonderful wish it would spread through the usa

LOVE your site, so glad I was able to find it! I am mom to Tyler who is a gifted 6(almost 7) year old little boy who has been diagnosed with both SPD & OCD. Life is anything but easy for him but he sure makes the best of it. He is bright, energetic and full of charisma. I am so blessed, thank you for creating a site and a foundation for children like my Tyler.

My son is 10 and was diagnosed with SPD when he was 3. He also has otosclerosis which is very uncommon in children. He is a wonderful child, and despite his struggles he is quick to volunteer to help someone who is less fortunate. He always points out that helping other children makes him realize that he doesn’t have it so bad after all…since everyone has their own obstacles to overcome!
